Sunrise AS-Charm Earbuds Review

Package

The AS-Charm earbuds ship in a cardboard box. Like its siblings the Charm is very well protected by the foam inside the box.

Like all Sunrise earbuds you get some spare cover sets and a carrying case which is quite nice. A 1/8" to 1/4" jack adapter is included in the Charm's bundle. Since they have an impedance of 150 Ohms they can be used with most headphone amplifiers with great results.

Closer Examination

The only difference between the Feeling and the Charm earbuds from Sunrise besides the mini-jack is driver is that the Charm's driver has an impedance of 150 Ohms which means it is pretty demanding to drive for most normal DAPs. In order to get sufficient volume from an iPhone or iPod you have to turn up the volume to over 40%.

The build quality of the Sunrise earbuds is really good. The AS-Charm earbuds are just as well made as the AS-Feeling.

There are two ports on the back of the ear pieces. The ports are stuffed with some kind of foam like dampening material.

The AS-Charm earbuds have a gold plate mini-jack connector. The shape of the jack makes it possible to use them with pretty much all DAPs and PMPs around, even those with recessed plugs.
