Packaging

The Tt eSPORTS Talon Elite Gaming Gear Combo packaging is not as big as I had initially expected, but nor is it small. Red and black colors are highly dominant, just like with most Tt eSPORTS gear. Open the flap and there is a window that lets you check out your new gear—well, at least the mouse. The contents of the package are the Talon gaming mouse, Dasher Mini mouse pad, warranty guide, and quick-start guide.

Shape

You will probably notice the rather futuristic, space-shuttle-like design first (it gets even more cyberpunk with the RGB lighting on). The Talon's shape is rather hard to describe; you pretty much have to see and feel it for yourself. One thing is for sure, it's surprisingly big. At first, I thought it would be a pretty small mouse, which is not the case. It features an ambidextrous form factor, but there are side buttons on the left side only, so it's mainly meant for right-handed users.

A lot of ledges break up the consistency of the shell, and most of these are design elements without actual comfort functions. However, there are also quite a lot of elements to the shape that make it rather comfortable. The sides are grooved inward in a way that helps with picking up the mouse and maintaining a stable grip at all times. Both main buttons feature some comfort grooves too, which generally help with putting your fingers in a more comfortable position.

Let's move on to the measurements: the Talon is 122.93 mm (4.80") long, which is average for gaming mice. The total width is 71.25 mm (2.81"), but this includes the two wide thumb/pinky rests. The actual width at which it is gripped is narrower at approximately 62 mm (2.44"). The total height is 42.45 mm (1.67"), and the hump is not exactly centered, but a bit toward the back of the mouse. With these dimensions, the mouse will most probably be compatible with a lot of grip styles and differently sized hands, but I wouldn't recommend it for hands shorter than 16 cm (6.30").
