The Orico O7000 is a solid-state drive in the M.2 2280 form factor, launched in 2022. It is only available in the 2 TB capacity listed on this page. With the rest of the system, the Orico O7000 interfaces using a PCI-Express 4.0 x4 connection. The SSD controller is the MAP1602A Falcon Lite from MaxioTech, a DRAM cache is not available. Orico has installed 232-layer QLC NAND flash on the O7000, the flash chips are made by YMTC. Please note that this SSD is sold in multiple variants with different NAND flash or controller, which could affect performance, the "Notes" section at the end of this page has more info. To improve write speeds, a pseudo-SLC cache is used, so bursts of incoming writes are absorbed more quickly. The cache is sized at 464 GB. Copying data out of the SLC cache (folding) completes at 160 MB/s. Thanks to support for the fast PCI-Express 4.0 interface, performance is excellent. The O7000 is rated for sequential read speeds of up to 7,000 MB/s and 6,500 MB/s write.
At its launch, the SSD was priced at 120 USD. The warranty length is set to five years, which is an excellent warranty period. Orico guarantees an endurance rating of 1200 TBW, a typical value for consumer SSDs.

Notes

Drive:

Sequential performance might be lower since manufacturer only lists "up-to" performance in their website.

Controller:

This controller features multiples variants:
F1C - Uses NVMe 1.4
F2C - Uses NVMe 1.4
F3C - Uses NVMe 2.0
F3C U - For 4TB SSDs and uses NVMe 2.0

Core Clock speed should be close to this.

NAND Die:

Some Batchs of these wafers can be sold at @ 1.000 P.E.C.
