Introduction

Team Group Logo

Founded in 1997, Team Group is a Taiwan-based manufacturer well-known for its "T-Force" gaming-centric DRAM products. Team Group offers striking designs and high performance across its various other flash-based product lineups as well.

Team Group is no stranger to the DRAM market, with its XTREEM and Vulcan lines dating all the way back to DDR3. Releasing a number of highly successful products, Team Group was one of the first vendors to offer consumers DDR5 in 2021. Now that AMD has released its first generation of Ryzen processors exclusively supporting DDR5, the next phase has started. To offer something special to their users, AMD has created a new memory profile standard called Extended Profiles for Overclocking (EXPO), specifically optimized for the new AMD Ryzen CPUs. This technology is also an open standard, which can in turn be implemented into Intel systems as well.

In this review, we will be taking a closer look at the Team Group T-Force DELTA α RGB DDR5-6000 memory kit, targeting AMD users who are looking to get even more performance out of their Ryzen CPU. These T-Force DELTA α memory kits come with the aforementioned EXPO memory profile, with 32 GB (2x 16 GB) kit configurations currently ranging from 5200 MT/s to 6000 MT/s. The DELTA α series also includes RGB lighting, supporting various motherboard vendor software like ASUS Aura, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light, ASRock Polychrome Sync and BIOSTAR VIVID LED DJ software for maximum compatibility with different motherboard ARGB implementations. Equipped with performance grade timings of 38-38-38-78 operating at 1.25 V for the 6000 MT/s EXPO profile, it provides higher bandwidth and considerable performance gains compared to baseline JEDEC 4800 MT/s DDR5 with a CAS latency of 40 operating at 1.1 V. Follow along, as we will benchmark this Team Group T-Force DELTA α RGB DDR5-6000 DDR5 32 GB kit and see how it stacks up to the competition, along with some promising overclocking as well!
