If you didn't know, most people have cpu cooling on a curve. Higher temps result in more RPM's. I was questioning why this did not. I and most others here are trying to pinpoint exactly what happened here. You want to just assume stuff go right ahead, but don't expect anyone to respect you for it.

You weren't questioning why the rpm wasn't higher, you were outright accusing him of doing it on purpose...

And aside of that, are you a complete tech novice, or what? A split second voltage blast wont make the fans spin up...

Are you going to try the aggressive setting again?

What exactly was this option supposed to do anyway and how is it different from EXPO?

I was poking around on reddit and came across a post where someone who did this on steel legend x670e 8 months ago said their VDD_SOC ended up being 1.35v. That's still too high for AM5 right?

If I'm not mistaken it's the highest it should be allowed to go.

Hello, I'm planning to buy a motherboard for Ryzen 7800x3d, I was thinking about B650E Steel Legend or B650E Riptide, will my processor be safe if I don't change anything in the bios except the EXPO profile? Is it Steel Legend's fault or a faulty bios on both boards? Which motherboard should I choose to feel safe? Sorry for my English :)

Dont know but assume it loosens limit restrictions on power maybe through OCP(?)
Bad OCP confiquration was I think the primary issue on GemerNexus video, in conjunction with slightly high SoC V.

Personally I strongly suggest to AM5 users (especially on X3D) to manually configure SoC voltage no more than 1.25V and only if its really needed, and let the hypothetical +1% perf get away.
To me these are unnecessary vendor tricks and gimmicks to make their products more appealing to potential buyers.

And Im not talking specifically for AsRock.
All of the them indiscriminately!

Im getting a little worked up here...
WTF.. X3Ds are not as memory dependent as all other Ryzens anyway and the board should've hide that setting in the presence of one.
I know that Ryzens in general are benefited by memory subsystem speed (6000 etc etc...) but all of them should've done better job on testing.
Also AMD has responsibilities too on the subject for letting these scenarios happening still after 1.5years from platform launch.

i have not a reply from ASRock so far and the replaced CPU was confimed to be "00" by the vendor.

1.3V is the SoC Limit on my board. and it's unnecessary high. 1.15V was the stable limit on my old, dead one.
and this happens when you enabled the aggressive mode:

I have built a few 7500F, 7600, 7700, 7800X3D, 7950X, 7900X, 7950X3D PCs with ASRock B650, B650E, X670E motherboards and I've even risked Aggressive mode with the latest NON beta bios (With Adata XPG Lancer 6000MHz CL30 32GB on my B650 board with 7950X3D that I'm testing) and I never saw above 1.25V VDDR SOC.
Don't have a screenshot so you'll have to go by faith. Given how many I have built recently, erroneous SMU readings are more likely than motherboard Aggro mode causing the CPU to head to the grave.
I'm certain that the CPU was faulty rather than the motherboard blowing it up
If you do want to use aggressive mode, lower the VDDR SOC before hand to 1.2v. I have however come across 7500F that would not be stable with 1.2V VDDR SOC so beware, 1.25v might actually be necessary
