Right, I have some ocz Reaper 8500 thats been giving me some trouble, so i've dropped down from 4GB to 2GB untill i can get a 2x2GB set. I can get 800mhz fine with 4-4-4-12 T2. But soon as i push to 5-5-5-15 T2 my trouble starts. even upped the voltage to 2.2 but i can work on that later.

CPU-Z (Left) is showing my RAM as 420mhz thats 210x13 on the CPU which is fine, was a small overclock to see how the ram would react, however problem is CPU-Z (Right) is saying my ram is PC2 5300 333mhz which i assume is an incorrect reading ? just want to validate this.

(ps: im semi new to this, so i might have missed something so please go soft heh)

Your screenshot shows a picture of 667mhz memory currently running at 840mhz. Not sure why it's reading the memory as 667mhz when it should be 1066. Either way, 4-4-4 timings are better than 5-5-5 timings, so if it's stable at the 4s and not 5s leave it be, although it makes no sense that it would be.

Ah i'll stick with 4-4-4-12 for now then, strange because up untill recently i had no problem getting them to 1066. Another problem i noticed in the BIOS is when i set them to 5-5-5-15 manually and put 2.2v into them they show as 5-3-3-3 2T after a reboot which is impossible i would have thought ?

sorry dude ,, as far as i can see your tRAS timming is way to tight ,, even 270 as cpuz shows should be about 13 ,, try tightening your bank cycle time antil atleats 22 , and then losen your cycle time ( tRAS ) to about 15 clocks ,, then try it like this ,
CAS Latency (CL) = 5 CLK
TCWL = 5 CLK
TRCD: 5 CLK
TRP: 5 CLK
TRAS: 15 CLK
TRC: 22 CLK
All other Set to Auto

2.0 should be way more thatn enuf for your memory ,, but those clocks are to reach 1066 then you add 2.1 V as a total ,

also in the bios
Memory Configuration

Bank Interleaving = Auto
Channel Interleaving = Auto
MemClk Tristate C3/ATLVID = Disabled
Memory Hole Remapping = Disabled (Enabled for >=4GB of DRAM)
Unganged Mode Support = Disabled ( only for phenom cpu)
Power Down Enabled = Disabled
Read Delay = Auto
DCQ Bypass Maximum = Auto

your DC mode is unganged not sure if its because your intel or if your amd and didnt set it up, set it up in the bios ,, it also doesnt clock one chip at a time but all when ganged , good luck buddie
