The Memblaze P7946 is a solid-state drive in the U.2 form factor, launched in 2023. It is only available in the 6 TB capacity listed on this page. With the rest of the system, the Memblaze P7946 interfaces using a PCI-Express 5.0 x4 connection. The SSD controller is the MV-SS1333 from Marvell, a DRAM cache chip is available. Memblaze has installed 232-layer TLC NAND flash on the P7946, the flash chips are made by Micron. Thanks to support for the fast PCI-Express 5.0 interface, performance is excellent. The P7946 is rated for sequential read speeds of up to 14,000 MB/s and 10,000 MB/s write; random IO reaches 2800K IOPS for read and 650K for writes.

embedded processor cores: Arm® Cortex®-R8 cores plus
additional Cortex-M7 cores for providing further flexibility. In

instruction/data SRAM and crypto engines (AES, SHA, RSA, ECC)
