The Seagate BarraCuda was a solid-state drive in the 2.5" form factor, launched in 2017, that is no longer in production. It was available in capacities ranging from 250 GB to 2 TB. This page reports specifications for the 2 TB variant. With the rest of the system, the Seagate BarraCuda interfaces using a SATA 6 Gbps connection. The SSD controller is the PS3110-S10-X from Phison. Seagate has installed 64-layer TLC NAND flash on the BarraCuda, the flash chips are made by Toshiba. To improve write speeds, a pseudo-SLC cache is used, so bursts of incoming writes are absorbed more quickly. The BarraCuda is rated for sequential read speeds of up to 560 MB/s and 540 MB/s write; random IO reaches 90K IOPS for read and 90K for writes.
The SSD's price at launch is unknown. The warranty length is set to five years, which is an excellent warranty period. Seagate guarantees an endurance rating of 1067 TBW, a relatively low value compared to other SSDs.
