Thats classy and these were the same liberals that didn't want Clinton's kids photographed. Way to doctor a photo of a 4 year old. It is amazing what 2.2 billion dollars spent on a election can get you. According to what was reported on the radio today he spent more then every American company but two on advertising over the last 4 years. The two companies that spent more were AT&T and Verision wireless. Hes gonna controll spending ? and hes gonna help the little man? WTF

I said it as a joke, bush was messing around when he got caught doing that......playing having fun....you can't control everything your little kids do.
BTW both parties spent tons of cash, it happens every election.
and if he did spend 2.2 billion dollars, I can almost bet it was not in one spot, and spread around during the campaign....
Not with a increase in the Capitol gains tax and an increase in taxes on businesses and on the owners of all the major companies in the USA by 15 percent and a increase from 0 to 45 percent on business in the form of the death tax. Get ready for a depression. What we need is a spending freeze and we need to cut pork programs and ear marks . Then we need to get out of Iraq (weather it is moral or not). We then need to cut taxes on the top companies and small businesses in America to incentivize growth and employee hiring. Then we need to shrink the federal government and get leaner and smaller. We don't need a tax increase for god sakes!!!! whos gonna hire anyone when you do that. If anything they will lay people off!!!!!! We also need back the 2.2 billion Dollars reported today that Barrack Obama spent on his election over the last 4 years thats right 2.2 billion dollars. Spread that wealth. Tell me that not straight bullshit.

Lets increase the tax to 75%-90% for the top. Fix the issue with Iraq and at home for a few years!!!

Increase Federal Government

And start more Federal Programs that we have today

It worked last time we where in a mess, and it could work again!!!!

It's not like everyone would move away:laugh:

Franklin D. Roosevelt Democrat
http://www.whitehouse.gov/history/presidents/fr32.html
He was elected President in November 1932, to the first of four terms. By March there were 13,000,000 unemployed, and almost every bank was closed. In his first "hundred days," he proposed, and Congress enacted, a sweeping program to bring recovery to business and agriculture, relief to the unemployed and to those in danger of losing farms and homes, and reform, especially through the establishment of the Tennessee Valley Authority.

By 1935 the Nation had achieved some measure of recovery, but businessmen and bankers were turning more and more against Roosevelt's New Deal program. They feared his experiments, were appalled because he had taken the Nation off the gold standard and allowed deficits in the budget, and disliked the concessions to labor. Roosevelt responded with a new program of reform: Social Security, heavier taxes on the wealthy, new controls over banks and public utilities, and an enormous work relief program for the unemployed.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franklin_D._Roosevelt

During the Great Depression of the 1930s, Roosevelt created the New Deal to provide relief for the unemployed, recovery of the economy, and reform of the economic and banking systems.[2] Although recovery of the economy was incomplete until almost 1940, the programs he initiated such as the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), and the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) continue to have instrumental roles in the nation's commerce. One of his most important legacies is the Social Security system
.

Senator Huey Long
December 11, 1934
http://www.themoderntribune.com/governor_huey_long_speech_1934_share_the_wealth.htm
According to the tables which we have assembled, it is our estimate that 4 percent of the American people own 85 percent of the wealth of America, and that over 70 percent of the people of America don't own enough to pay for the debts that they owe.

Any man with a thimble-full of sense ought to know that if you take 85 percent off of that table and give it to one man that you are bound to have 2/3 the people starving because they haven't got enough to eat.

So, what values help us, and which ones don't?

What happened after that and America went into high gear?

We taxed the hell out the rich!

http://www.cflonline.org/news.php?id=236
In fact, back in 1942, a call for what amounted to a “maximum wage” actually came from the President of the United States. President Franklin D. Roosevelt that year asked Congress to impose a 100% tax on all individual income over $25,000, the equivalent of about $300,000 today, after adjusting for inflation.

FDR didn't get his 100% top tax rate. But he did get Congress to pass a 94% top tax rate on all income over $200,000. And America's top tax rate on high incomes would hover around 90% for the next two decades, years that would see unprecedented economic prosperity for average American families.

Those high tax rates on high incomes FDR inspired have disappeared. In 1943, the very richest Americans paid 78% of their total incomes in federal income tax. In 2003, by contrast, our very richest Americans paid a mere 17.5% of their total incomes in federal tax.
Woot I get to QUOTE myself:roll:

who gives 2 shits about the micro-crap. I mean so she is religious, she is not goign to force America to become christian or something.

And besides ide welcome the Apocalypse this world is so fucked up we could use the reset button, only after i get my guns and ammo for the zombies and looters.

through poor govt desisions elections and shift in power i agree because alot of americans are now like this

and its because of

1. lack of education and

2. lack of making informed or any decision at all because of lazyness.

the one thing we need to do is finally step up and just vote and start idk making like foundations and going and pickiting in the hundreds of thousands i mean in all honesty alot of stuff would be avoided if the majority of the middle and lower class citizens actualyl took the time to vote instead of letting buisiness men and white collor america look out for their own intrest ..the reason alot of lower class americans dont agree with how things are going is because we dont challange enough its like their all scared that the govt might stir a little bit....because they work for $7 an hour in a kitchen and they value their job to much to take the chance...if they just went out and tried to make an impact they would better themselves not put their lifestyle on the line....it just frustrates me because i absolutely agree with you and i understand what the problems are but im only 1 vote.

That basic "supply side economics" is only true some of the time. But I know what you are saying.

not according to this poll http://news.yahoo.com/election/2008/dashboard and yahoo is liberal as hell.

Thats one poll versus the largest collection of polls..... do the math.;)

I bet the yahoo poll is correct in the long run since we use Diebold voting machines.

Do you really pay 50% income tax in the US? Damn and I thought the UK was bad

Federal tax is around 30%, but by the time you add in State and local taxes,m that equals around 49%. I pay for Health insurance, workforce employment tax as well as New Jersey Disablility, and Social Security and then Federal tax. And guess wheat idk what health/sUI really does but they tax me for it. All i know is i pay for my own health insurance, so i know that can't be it.

No, I believe the current average is around 31%.........

Federal tax is 31%, but you have to add up state and local taxes.

Wow! I had no idea the UK paid such taxes. When you combine all of what you just stated above, we're probably dangerously close to paying the same. Hey fellow Americans, look at Bta and Tatty's posts. I know I just learned something.........

Strange isn't it.

Many polls were used for the website I linked. As long as you have Microsoft office you can see the ~30 polls that were used for one day alone to make the chart I linked. Read it before choosing its not convenient to accept it.

Nice.
but after his comments today, about killing the coal industry and raising electric rates with his "cap and trade" global warming tax, this is my prediction - especially if they catch and kill a few of those ACORN morons who are padding the box in Ohio... And John Murtha didn't help him in PA and West Viriginia (yeah, he's not the senator there, but "rednecks" everwhere hate him for that remark...

Yes but it's too little to late and Mac will win Ohio. The polls here are in his favor and I live here.

http://www.intrade.com/jsp/intrade/misc/blog/#kudlow_1

Lawrence Kudlow is the founder and CEO of Kudlow and Company, LLC, an economic research and consulting firm with offices in New York City and Connecticut. Larry is also the host of CNBC's "Kudlow & Company", which airs weeknights at 7pm EST.

Here are some interesting comments.

For example, the nonpartisan Tax Foundation says the Bush tax cuts -- which McCain would maintain -- provided substantially more relief than middle-class Clinton-era tax rates: A single earner making $30,000 will pay $2,756 under 2008 Bush tax law compared with $3,157.50 under Clinton tax law (in 1999). That’s a larger Bush tax cut by 8.7 percent. A married couple earning $50,000 will pay $4,012 under Bush compared with $5,085 under Clinton. That’s a bigger Bush tax cut by 21 percent.

So the facts of a middle-class tax cut are far different from what Obama claims. Obama also says his tax rates will be below those of Ronald Reagan. Wrong. Obama will raise the top rate to 39.6 percent, whereas Reagan left taxpayers with only two brackets of 15 and 28 percent.

Incidentally, the income cap for Social Security and Medicare taxes was about $42,000 when Reagan left office, compared with $104,000 today and the threat that Obama will raise that cap significantly.

Wow, that's why I stay far away from this thread, because of the tempting links! Now that I clicked it I want to puke, and I dislike children even more. I don't care what they are singing about, barf-O-rama. The last group of people I'm going to listen to about this election is children. They know nothing.

WTF is that? I kept waiting for the punchline. Seriously.

Why would people do this with kids?

This video came up in the "related" category. Good grief, even Google found the startling similarity automatically!

srsly WTF? was that?
