Well I only have 4" UV green so that's what I made

It was a royal PITA and I had to remake it twice but it is still not quite done. I need to make a mount for it.

The thin wall tube is not really ideal...and polishing the top made little tiny crazing marks from the heat...so I don't think I want to make one for anybody because it might fail later on but maybe just as a lighting effect it's pretty fun.

I frosted it in the blast cabinet so it would glow like mad.

I think these would make interesting Cabana Lanterns for a Rave

Not sure if they'd hold up in the long term: thinwall tube is a little too fragile and extruded acrylic really is not suitable for anything except cosmetic bits and bobs.

This would work better. Using 2" optical clarity cast acrylic for the actual res and using the 4" UV green as a "shade" and simply stick a pair of CCL lights to the res tube. THe 4" tube would act as a support and would have two holes to allow access to the ports on the inner cylinder. Much easier to make and no worries about using unsuitable materials.
