Phenom 720 temps rised after bios update

Before bios update:
Processor (idle): 28C
Cores (idle): 25C
After bios update:
Processor (idle): 38C
Cores (idle): 26C

Why? Could I decrease this temps on current bios version?
When I restore `old` bios, temps are as above (28C/25C).

sounds like your bios was misreading the old temperatures for that line of chips, and the update added an offset to compensate.

The new temps are more accurate.

28C is freakishly low idle tbh... i dont get that under water unless my ambient dips below 20C and i have power features on.

yeah... for sure. the only thing that can realistically raise temps by 10C at idle is a sensor recalibration. That or a 30% hike in vcore, which i dont think is the case.

Either way, thats a normal idle temp, so no worries.

yeah... free speed. :toast:

2.8Ghz is not terribly fast, and a nice bump to 3.4 will definitely be noticeable.
