Confirmed this evening that a simple flash of the VBIOS with the Sapphire HD5770 Vapor-X BIN released last December yields a fully functional, over-volted HD5750 which (in my case) has been able to reliably clock at 960/1445, the maximum allowed by CCC, without issue. Fan control and all other features remain intact. Obviously you're dealing with laser-cut shaders in this case, so your total count will remain at 720, however this does not appear to have caused any sort of conflict, driver or otherwise.
You could accomplish roughly the same thing with a bit of VBIOS modding, but just an FYI to those interested in a no-mess approach to things.

[EDIT] If you use the files available directly from Sapphire, the BAT script will automatically backup your old VBIOS as old.BIN, in case a blind flash becomes necessary. [/EDIT]
