Guinness Book Names "Top 50 Video Game Characters of All Time"
Exactly how much authority the Guinness World Records 2011 Gamer's Edition ought to be given is an open debate. While statistical records make for relatively straightforward accounting, matters of opinion present a far more difficult situation. With that in mind, check out the "Top 50 Video Game Characters of All Time" Guinness announced today from this year's book.
Guinness tabulated the list after collecting votes from more than 13,000 fans on its official site. Not exactly the most scientific method. Having watched countless such video game character deathmatches over the years, they boil down to which fan communities learned about the vote first and got the most people out to stuff the ballot box. But with that in mind, here's the Guinness Book list of the Top 50 Video Game Characters of All time, or at least the top 50 video game characters until next year's book gets printed.
