My computer spec's are under my user name for those who are wondering.

Okay, so here is the problem I have been having. I would be surfing the internets and all of a sudden my computer would just randomly restart itself. I tried looking into the 'Error Log' and it really didn't give me a straight answer. The only thing I can think of is that my SATA cable is a little bent and I have to replace the cable with a new one. It is bent because it's stuck right in between my two GPUs and its pushing the cables down because the 2nd GPU is long in length.

So, this is what I have tried:
  1. Monitor my PSU with HW Monitor (Even though programs aren't always reliable), my 12v is at 11.9 and never goes past 12.03
  2. I tested both of my RAM sticks on Windows Memory Diagnostics and they both were fine
  3. I have reinstalled my GPU driver (Yes I used Erockers Guide) and still I am getting the same results.
  4. I had made sure all my cables are tightly secured and in place (including my 6v rails)

-My mother board doesn't have any scratches on it at all. The only thing that is broken on my motherboard is the Ethernet Card. A screw hit a small transmitter (little chip) and that was several months ago. I've have since replaced it with a new PIC-E Ethernet Card.

-I am assuming it has to be my SATA cable because for some reason my Raid 0 takes some time to load games and it's takes a little time to read and write under certain tests.

If I can think of anything else, I will post it.

All help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks! :toast:

try chkdsk

open command prompt and type in

chkdsk /R /F

1.Open the "Computer" window
2.Right-click on the drive in question
3.Select the "Tools" tab
4.In the Error-checking area, click <Check Now>.

or do that

Also try install CCleaner and running the Registry Cleaner within it

Doubt its the SATA cable as mine are at some strange angles in the case to hide them. (but its always good to swap something suspicious)

Set all your hardware to factory and check your temps while your at it.

Dude as of today my PC has been dong the same.

One random restart while surfing the net.

Another random restart while playing Deus Ex

And another random restart while not doing anything.

I'm not sure if our problems are related but I just recently moved my PC into my room and the only thing I have done different is install a USB wireless dongle that I didn't even have to install drivers for.

Don't mean to thread hi-jack but though it was interesting you were experiencing the same problem as I?

Was there a recent Windows update by chance?

Getting no error log or BSOD as well.

:toast: Glad to see I'm not alone. Of course there has been Windows Updates, but who know's if they are to blame. Yes it restarts randomly while I surf the web (especially if I watch Youtube Videos). Very seldomly it would freeze while I am playing a video game.

I will have to test my computer when I get home. Hopefully more people will come out and see if they are getting the same problem.

Latest CCC Maybe? PC has been fine for 2 hours straight now. Still don't know why it restarted a few times earlier today though.. :/

I do have the latest CCC, however this error did start after I went to 11.8 But, I cannot confirm this. I don't think it's my GPU that is causing it to randomly restart. I may be wrong. What drivers are you running?

Latest but I was fine with them since I installed them till today.

Again PC is still going strong.

I thought maybe a temp issue since I had to move my PC to from a bigger Room to a smaller room.

The way I see it, its likely it is that or my wireless dongle, only two most recent changes I've done.

I can't confirm anything yet either and won't unless happens again.

So far so good. I haven't had this problem since I created this thread. {Knocks on Wood}. I switched my RAM sticks and blew out any dust that was in the slots. I heard that sometimes even the smallest amounts of dust can f' up your RAM.

Thanks everybody!
