I'm shopping for a home office all-in-one printer. I have an HP 8500 now (had good ratings) that has been -ok- when it works. This weekend I'll see how it likes ammonium nitrate but for now I have to deal with it's issues.
Here's what I need in a printer.
All-in-one.
Cheap ink.
Doesn't lock up.
Doesn't drop off the network.
Doesn't clean/align itself at 3AM.
Doesn't clean/align itself when powered on.
Doesn't take 5 minutes to clean/align itself.
Holds at least 250 pages.
Has a dial pad for faxing.
I could care less how long it takes to print. 20 seconds, 5 seconds. Doesn't matter when it takes 5 minutes to turn on. How fast it gets online is more important to me then a few seconds saved on a printed page. Anyone have a printer that turns on quickly on and starts printing when they need it?
