HD 5870 engineering sample??

i found this post on CL and does this look like a hd5870 is an engineering sample? :confused:

That's not an engineering sample, it just has the extra bracket often seen it some Dell systems, and some workstations. It's just an ATi branded card, so it probably wouldn't come with a warranty.

Also, beating his 6950? Right.

The bracket is removable; a member and a school friend of mine bought one exactly like that and took it off in about a minute.
