I think Moore's law will be broken in another way. Once a major wall is hit other technologies like BDT will then be pushed forward, and there will be a huge leap in performance.

The single-atom transistor does have one serious limitation: It must be kept very cold, at least as cold as liquid nitrogen, or minus 391 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 196 Celsius).

Single atom transistors in the laboratory are interesting, but practical desktop use is still years away, if even possible.
