My 2 year old Rat mouse has started this week to doubleclick when I single click...
Are there fixes or time to dump it?

:toast: Thanks!

If it's plastic wear what i did was the shorten the button that presses the micros witch. Why shorten ?, well it's so you can add a piece of plastic ( like from a debit card ) making up for the difference.

The plastic is taped to a part ( if possible ) in the mouse and the plastic leans on the micro switch and with the plastic being to thick this is why you file down the part that presses the button.

You need to take your time as you don't want to file it down to far hehe.

Problem i had with the idea is in summer the mouse would get to hot and the electrical tape would slip but it get me to were the time i could afford a new one lol.

Less drastic way you could try a piece of paper of different thicknesses.

That's when I dump it. I had a 5-button Microsoft Mouse do that to me.

You have to solder on new triggers/clickers from another spare mouse usually.

I have done that myself many times.

You should have a warranty on your mouse though so check first.

If you have a copy of your receipt, RMA it. Common issues with these mice apparently..I have a double-clicker here too. Mailman had two before he moved to a different mouse. I have yet to replace my own.
