They already are included in all of the recent reviews!
For the sake of updating everyone, reviews are already underway and posted in the games subforum.

For those that don't want to read, there is a conclusion section with the plain details
Benchmarks are in spoiler tags for 1440p and 1080p
Pretty pictures are included, but scaled down to 800px to fit most resolutions and be mobile friendly (can be resized to 1080px width if requested)
Gameplay videos included, plus one or two videos showing ingame mechanics/highlights, available in 1440@60p

I understand the recent review are text heavy (last one was over 3000 words), but they were written in great detail as people requested that. As it stands the reviews take the rest of my spare life bar Saturdays (my only day off), so any extras people want included like specific settings and their performance adjustment will either shorten the review greatly, or knock things down to 1 review a week instead of 2. I'd rather do 2 a week, because variation is nice, and you realise reviewing is not as fun as merely playing games for fun.

I don't particularly get anything out of this, but it improves traffic and makes the Games section a little more tidy. If anything is not to the general people's tastes, do let me know, as it's an awful lot of time investment, and I'd rather do it right.

I've also had word that somebody will be doing "Retro" reviews, proof read by me, but otherwise written and entirely the property of that user.

So you come to the Games Forum for hardware reviews?

Game sites have hardware forums too. There's room enough for all of it.

I don't want to read AAA reviews. what can you add that a dozen other sites don't already cover?

shine some light on smaller games that people should check out.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is like 100 hours and press copies were probably sent out weeks ago.

Agreed, it's a beautiful little action/fighting adventure/platformer. Perhaps a little schmaltzy and juvenile at times, if a bit predictable as well... But it targets a wide audience and still manages to pull off a rich emotional investment as well a rewarding feeling of success and accomplishment, on top of fun gameplay mechanics.

Again, not a new title by any means, but one worth going over.

+1 for this suggestion.

Alien: Isolation I can hear calling out to be reviewed ;)

A) PCGamer said it was the savior of the Horror genre. I can assure you that's wrong, as it's got nothing on Amnesia besides shiny graphics
B) I'm a massive girl when it comes to Horror games
C) The AI for the alien is total nonsense
D) It's a big AAA title, and people seem to prefer the slightly less known games to be given some limelight.

Grid is probably my last mainstream review. I'm going to start working on the smaller titles and projects, as they're more fun for me, and more interesting for readers. Plus I'm a bit late for an Alien: Isolation review. If people call for it however, for sure I'll run one next week after I've played dance dance revolutionCrypt of the Necrodancer.

EDIT: Totally doing a mini review for the SuperHOT prototype, it looks fantastic.

I'm torn here, but the simple truth is that reviews are currently a toxic subject.

Assuming someone here feels entitled, it's an opportunity to personally attack the reviewer who didn't agree with whatever score they gave a game. On the more dangerous side of these attacks is the legal damage that can be done. A publisher alleges defamation, slander, or attempts to get the content to a negative review removed via the DMCA. While this sort of thing is hard to imagine here, I'd prefer we not test the waters.

I appreciate that we've got game discussions. Talking from one player to another isn't particularly difficult, and it's much easier to get a feel for a game that way. I'm of the opinion that maintaining the separation of discussion and formal reviews is both a good and necessary thing for TPU to remain as reasonable as it is.

Well whatever you say, I'm buying it tonight and will see for myself.
Oh, and I'm a massive horror fan so I'll know if it is up there with Amnesia. It takes a LOT to scare me nowadays; I've become too accustomed to the thrill of horror games, so I think I'll be able to judge it well.

I would rather have a rundown of what performance the game have on different kind of hardware CPU/GPU, bugs for different combinations, and maybe a few paragraphs of the game is shit or not and what other games are similar.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
I voted no as well. I really only play a game or two so its not needed for me personally.

If this does happen, please ditch the "I have no idea what the difference is between a game/gpu/mobo/psu scoring 8 and 8.3" method of scoring some reviews have here as that is just plain asinine considering the points system is subjective...:)

And dear lord the peer reviews at OCN are quite possibly the worst idea EVER. Its right on par with newegg's program that sends hardware to people that have no clue how to properly review it. Its sad but, it seems like half of the world's forum goers can barely put a coherent sentence together none the less make sense when doing so.

Great work so far RCoon. We needed you about 7 years ago for GPU! :D I want to :toast: you for all of your efforts thus far. Keep it going!

I would also like to see your hard work get posted on the front page of TPU as well, which I know is out of the realm of what this site is about atm. And maybe they are and I've missed them. I would also like to see more reviewers eventually become integrated. I wish I had time and still liked to play all games that were released. I am now much pickier in my investments lol!

I would also like to request that maybe some Alpha/Beta/Gamma TPU Previews come out too! I'd love to see your thoughts and videos on Star Citizen and Elite: Dangerous. Me being a huge RTS fan would also like to see Planetary Annihilation and Distant Worlds reviewed as well.

I of course own all of those, but have nowhere near the time to review them, and realize you have A TON on your plate! But if the occasional Space Sim or RTS ends up in your review queue, I'll greatly look forward to it!

Really appreciate the thumbs up, definitely something I'm happy to see. Obviously they won't be seen on TPU as it's for tech, but NPU is a possibility provided the reviews actually bring in some form of fresh Internet traffic. I don't know if they do, so it would entirely be up to w1z,for all I know I only have 3 readers (for which I'm proud of and will continue writing).

If anybody wants to see anything in particular, just ask. I'm always looking for new fresh things to look at, some games surprise even me. I'm doing a couple next week that are random requests, so by all means just ask. I'm happy to do alpha or beta reviews, provided there is actually some form of gameplay for me to actually review. Some Greenlight and alpha games are so broken it makes benchmarks and gameplay a little hard, but games like superHOT make it viable.

Obviously I don't get anything from this, although I occasionally get freebies from developers when I review their stuff, so it's down to developers and my money one what games I can get my hands on. So far it's been a fortunate affair and I've been lucky! I'd like to look into elite, and I already own star citizen, but obviously there's not much to review for SC right now, but I'll give planetary and elite a go sometime soon. Next two games up are fun little indie titles I've just gotten hold of some Indie games of which I can thank @BumbleBee for!

There's also a great fella sending me his review on Tuesday for older games people may have missed out on, he'll be doing semi old game reviews for games that aren't particularly mainstream/retro, but in his own time. I don't expect anyone to follow my timetable

They already are included in all of the recent reviews!
For the sake of updating everyone, reviews are already underway and posted in the games subforum.
Help me out here... damned if I can find the "games sub-forum" to check out some reviews. I need my nose pointed in the right direction, guess I'm too dumb.

They are here in the Games section, they are usually identified by the OFFICIAL tag at the beginning and (Review) tag at the end.. RCoon has a link in his sig, just above the racoon picture. That link goes here.
