Odyssey is my favorite one. Did not enjoy Origins much, it was just dull, like the desert itself and I remember finishing the game with 40% of the map still not visited. Haven't played Valhalla yet.

Syndicate and Black Flag would be competing for second place. Unity was technically way more impressive game (other than the abysmal draw distance), but the gameplay and characters were inferior to Syndicate.

One thing I prefer Origins greatly over Odyssey and Valhalla is being able to use shields very effectively in battle. It also had some pretty good tombs and arena fighting, and some epic battles with animals.

That said, the upgrading was too much of a long grind.

Is Assassin's Creed Mirage Deluxe Edition worth to buy at £35?

It's on sale on Epic Games and I really want to try to, and buying the normal version is less than £32 so I feel the Deluxe has better value.

FYI the sell ends tomorrow so I would like to know.

its very tough to say yes IMO. least to me it felt like 3 steps back from even Valhalla which i felt was already a few steps back from origins and Odyssey. World in Mirage is very tiny compared to games before it.
This is from a person that owns almost ever AC game outside the side scrolling ones they did.

I cannot stand Valhalla, it's so long and when the suggestion is you need to spend 20+ hours before the game is really good that I cannot do cannot even get pas the first couple of hours in the game without being bored.

I tried twice so I am happy I didn't brought it but I was able to borrow it from one of the few friends I have.

I really like Syndicate, Origins, Odyessy, AC3 Remastered + Liberation. I have Unity installed but not really gone that far into it yet.

Doesn't it compare more to the earlier games? I understand they were taking a step away from the open world/RPG style a bit and focusing more on the original game styles.

It would be like GTA6 going back to top down view of GTA1/2 is way i see it. Mirage is a game that felt rushed to get something out and super short compared to 3 games before it. Its probably 1 game i kinda wish i didn't buy full price and i love AC series.

Wait until something you actually do want to play but not own lands on the same gamepass service for a month?

My impression is this game aspires to please a couple types.

1. Walk struts out into the open on an elevated walkway and says to themself "Hell yeah!!" as they finish clicking on all 9 enemies in view during a time frozen combo maker.
2. lvl 99999

Edit: Double DRM, better to buy on sale at Ubi Connect.

Yeah I saw the sale there and the Epic Support is really bad too been trying to the past couple of years getting the email for my account changed, they won't tell me why they won't want to help just that I need to use the email their system sends out even the email service has been out of service since 2021.

I do actually wants to play Mirage, Valhalla not going to start that nightmare of not getting anywhere even the intro to the game is long and dull.

Go for it then. I know a long list of fixes have been implemented to remove or better mods. Probably worth looking through patch notes to see what complications they attempted to reintroduce.

I can see Ubisoft has extended the sale until 20th of February so I still got some time to pay it.

Even I do not like the way they do digital only so it's the only choice I have to play the game on pc.

Take note that playing Ubisoft games through EGS means you're going through two portals to get to your game.
Its not much better through Ubisoft Connect (ye olde Uplay, renamed) alone I might add.

I'm playing Unity now with a pirated version, and honestly, its much better because Uplay won't annoy you all the time and you can't access the constant push for shoving MTX in your face either. Its just not there, you get a network error. Glorious! All I have for Ubisoft's triple dip into my wallet is the middle finger by now. Full price game... DLC everywhere... ingame paid boosts and MTX?! Get the fck out of here.

If you're buying, get the cheapest key instead of an EGS sale, unless you have coupons to reduce the amount to near zero.

I have steam version of the older AC games and pirated for backup.

But there ain't a pirated version out for Mirage yet, and I know this world so I do follow but I am tired of waiting you know ;)
