I got my Asus Prime AP201 White Mesh case home yesterday and this even everything I had planned didn't go as expected so I started taking my gamer apart, cleaning fans and moving my hardware and 3-4 hours later I am done and ready to go to bed o_O

I am no expert in cable management but I really think it turned out alright having 2x3.5inch drive I use for data storage I don't really wanna change out for SSD's.

I have the exact same card and honestly can't say bad thing about it (Nvidia BS aside).
It might be the most quiet / cool-running GPU I've ever owned.

I totally agree, I came from a RX 7900 XT and the power saving I get on the RTX 4070 is really good and performance at 1440p is excellent for me and I haven't regarded buying this RTX 4070 model and I hope Asus will keep it around for more generations because it's a two slot card, not really much longer than the mobo and is quiet and fine build quality so it's a win :D

I still have two tower cases still with 5.25" bays. The Antec 1200 and Antec 900 (original) where the front panel is only USB2 but host AM4 motherboards with unused USB3 headers. Got 2 USB 3.0 front panels and 1 StarTech 2 drive 2.5" Hot Swap bay. The one in my Antec 900 is going to be my test bench PC so the hot swap bays will come in handy to swap out SSD OS installs if needed. I already assembled the 5.25" front panel with the hot swap backplane and they fit together nicely.

Before these two above I tried the following 7 port front panel hub below but both of mine that I ordered seemed to have the same electrical problem that was causing my PC to fail to boot about 90% of the time. I noticed with my test bench when hooking in the aux power to the unit caused my SSD tray light to come on unexpectedly but I didn't know why at first.

Researching online I discovered someone found this unit below has a bad/inappropriate component on the PCB that is allowing voltage from the Molex or SATA aux power connectors to backfeed into the motherboard! It was still possible to use the unit without the aux power for low power devices like USB flash however there is a 0.5v drop in available voltage through the USB hub for devices. I'm not yet sure if my motherboard or SSD was damaged by this unit but it appears to still be working ok for now. This front panel is to be avoided.

You are welcome to join the ASRock Deskmini Owner's Club and share your experiences. I would be interested in what memory you used and your memory settings for 4650G at 1900 FCLK as I have one on the shelf contemplating if I should put in my X300.
My memory is made by Ramaxel. These are DDR4-3200 modules. Memory sticks are from laptop and mini-pc. But both of them are Micron E-die. With Ryzen 5 Pro 4650g latensies are high(20-21-21-22-42) but it works and are faster than my B-die Samsungs at same 1900FCLK and lower timings. Those were lowest timings that memory tests passed with that Infinity fabric clock.

Pro 4650G's weakness is that most of them won't go over 1900 FCLK. Atleast what I have seen. Mine won't boot FCLK at 1933MHz, not even with better motherboard. But what I can say getting 1900FCLK and optimized timings for your memory->makes this little box so much faster to use. I mean just opening apps, with minimal loading time.

Some day when I am bored enough I will try higher FLCK and see If I can get better timings.

You went from a 7900 XT to a 4070? Must have hated AMD's drivers even more than me.

No hate for the drivers they have been rock solid for me even on RX 6000 series, but I went to RTX 4070 because I cut the power consumption under half of the RX 7900 XT and relative performance difference should be about 40% but I haven't really felt this impact in 1440p for the games I game and for Horizon Zero Down Forbidden West it just runs in 1440p no lag or stutter that's the most important part.

I pay for my own power and it's expensive here.

I'm way too lazy to post pics of all the stuff I picked up yesterday (which I purchased a week ago) so I'll just list what I got.

-iPhone SE 2020
-new battery for Dualshock 4
And in the stuff box, oh boy...
-Asus Rampage III Gene + i7-960 + 3x4GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600
-Asus P8Z77-V LX + i5-3470 + 2x4GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3-1600
-Asrock P67 Pro3 (this may need a bios update, didn't post with the above Ivy i5. I'll test it with my 2500K)
-Asus GTX 660 2GB DCU2
-Gigabyte GT 430 low-profile
-Corsair H70 rev1
-LGA775/115x stock coolers (OG P4 era LGA775 one with the old Intel logo, three copper-core LGA115x ones and one aluminium 115x one)
-Razer Basilisk mouse
-and a huge lot of other stuff (screws, rubber fan mounts, different adapters, Noctua fan extension cables and LNA adapters etc.)

And the whole stuff box cost just 40EUR from my buddy included postage. I guess he did some spring cleaning and thought that better sell them to me than just throw away. :toast:

At least there's plenty of liquid left when I shake it. Need to test and check how it performs. :)

Yes they are the higher end uprated and overclocked V.N II's with Gore-Tex in socket EU46. I just had to google what they are. Supposedly about £80. Got them for £50

I got some AKKO Fairy switches, they are ultra silent, I still need to lube them, but when done it's probably going to be the greatest. I like them not lubed, but I can def see how these switches need lubed. WHen I get it all done it is going to be the quietest mech keyboard on Earth, it already is to be fair, I just want the extra smoothness on travel distance the lube will give me. I can't handle the click clack of blues anymore in my old age. lol

:toast:

every time I read your name, my dyslexic brain sees it as Coolio the rapper name. how do you get Chloe sound from ke beginning?

@Steve-007UK that is a good deal to my knowledge, enjoy! don't forget to check gpu-z and make sure rebar is enabled.

New Psu for the future GPU (Taichi 7900xtx or 4080 S Proart ). Psu on sale, price for Px-1000 about 272 Euro and a compartment for a new disk, the price was good about 32 Euro. I'm going with a Verbatim Vi7000 2TB SSD for about 130 E for a new one pocket

Picked up an NVMe enclosure.
Good to use for cloning drives + way cheaper than a dock.

This made me think of Gangsters Paradise, which then made me think of Amish Paradise.
So now you and everyone else here can have it stuck in their heads as well.

Look what you've done, I hope you're happy :p

At least google translate said that this is Chloe in Korean. Too much k-pop and now I'm totally into Korean things (well, also I've watched hella many DPRK documents in the last decade)

I think i got a good price on this as it was new and should be a big upgrade from my RTX 3060 12gig.

Managed to get it for £475 and should be here tommorow
My next GPU when I have the cash for it. I'll get either this or Sapphire Pulse.
