Well the install went great. Booted and loaded drivers no problems. Just had to make sure all the ati drivers/tools where uninstalled before installing the new card.
What a difference! 3dMark05 proxicon went from 70fps to 120+fps. Unfortunately I didnt have it hooked to the internet so I didnt get my score. But I know its a massive boost from the X1900xtx.
Next step is to see how far I can push it on air, then add it to my water loop and apply heatsinks on all the ram and voltage regs. Using a Swiftech MCW60 and it looks like it will fit perfectly. I will post screen shots of my max air and max water from 3d05,06.
Ohhh I get to update my sig and specs!
The fan is not anywhere near as loud as the x1900xtx's but that is a notoriously loud fan. For me the fan will be removed very shortly anyways, but for people interested it is a pretty nice fan setup and doesn't sound like a jet engine.
