looking for reviews about these axeram

one guy offered me this 4gb (2x2) kit for cheap (TX1066QLU-4GK). it is a 1066MHz transcend axeram kit, but it seems i cant find a review on them.
What chips are they? surely they arent d9s, they dont use them on 2gb modules, so what else?
There is a 1200MHz Gskill pi series 4gb kit capable of 1400 (2x2gb!!! ), i hope they are the same!

I have that memorykit.It runs fine at 1066mhz and they are not d9s if remember right they are powerchip ic's .Here do you find mandelores review http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=56268&highlight=transcend

that review isnt that helpful... semms that the guy had to RMA the sticks... sad. do you know how far you can push them?

Yes are quite right about the review.He RMAd the sticks becuse he couldnt push them.I haven't pushed them at all i run them on stock speed 1066mhz.

Honestly, you're not going to find RAM that will justify the expense over what you have, especially if you've managed to get 1100mhz out of them. If anything, I'd get another 2GB of Ballistix or Team extreme to give you a matched set. It will be quite some time before you'd ever need more than 4gb of RAM, and I've found that I have better luck with 4x1 than 2x2 kits.

true, but this is a very good offer. low price... but it seems i wont buy them then.

hey and i just discovered that they are elpida chips... any info about them?

EDIT: I just saw on XS that the powerchips version of this kit is capable of 570... but the elpida?

High binned Elpida chips seem to be a common choice now for high speed RAM from companies like Mushkin and Gskill. A friend of mine in the industry tells me that Elpida high bin chip can appear similar to D9's, but are able to handle voltage better...and last longer. They are also cheaper than Micron D9 chips.

Now i have tried to push the sticks they seem fine at 1130mhz but i did have to change to cl6.But anyway memory scores got little better.

mmmh it semms i'm gonna keep my tracers that will do 1200... or 1000 at 1.9V
