Man, I just switched my two 3870 crossfired with one 4890! If you can efford it, don't bother with your 3870 anymore. One 4890 is so much powerfull than two 3870, particularly if you play with a lot of filters enabled!

you made the right choice! Instead of changing my two crossfired HD3870, I baught a third one (90€ shiping included) for a tri-xfire!

No you are not alone! I also run in crossfire with only 1 bridge, and I never restart when enabling/disabling my crossfire! But don't say anything here ... people will think you are crazy ;)

It was actually in the 38X0 section ... But nevermind! I am using a single bridge and have tested with two bridges! No difference at all! So put in 2 bridges if you want! It won't hurt.

this bios is really weird to me??? Is this a moded bios? in RBE the little box is tickled (see attachement 1). The memory frequency is 1126 some time, and 1143 other times??? The GPU is 777 some times and 853 other times ??? Can you confirm this is the original ASUS bios? Thanks

I actually have two HD3870 in crossfire! Instead of getting rid of them, I am getting a third HD3870 (a red double slot) for less than 90€ (130$). I will be running in tri-Xfire, therefore I have nothing to fear when it comes to power! For the electricity bill ... I don't play 100% of the time...
