well i dloaded new monitor driver from the net and installed so i'll see how that goes. if not im gonna plug it in to my other PC which is running XP Pro so will see.

yeah i thought that maybe coz i was running the 177.83_geforce_winvista_32bit. so i uninstalled that driver and installed an older one and its seemed like the problem went away but then BOOM!! the bugger was back.

I checked the Power Options in the Control Panel the part with Turn Off the Display and Put the Computer To Sleep are set to Never. Also in the Advanced Settings under the Display, Tune the Display After is set to Never and Adaptive Display is set to On. Could any of this be doing this...
