Why post the same thing twice?

It's not obsolete.

The lappy isn't obsolete, it may be discontinued but not obsolete. I just bought a 5 y/o Toshiba with 1.4 Celeron and 512 ram w/40GB HDD. It's not obsolete by any means, but poorly outdated. It's only good for playing music and surfing, which is perfect for my wifey!

Do not post more than one thread on the exact same subject. I can think of no logical reason to do so. I urge you to read over the forums Rules and Guidelines

I still have my inspiron 4000, is it obsolete? YES! Do I still use it? YES!
I would be very, very happy if I had a 1525, but since I don't, I use my laptop to its full abilities: play old games (like Half Life and Age of Empires II), do schoolwork, and browse the web. I just need a WiFi card and a battery and it'd be about as useful as a netbook.
Does your laptop do everything you want it to? If so, then its not really obsolete.
