Hi Guys,

I'm comparing the W7 Pro versions 32 and 64bits on an old PC (Asus P5B-E + Intel E8400 + 4x1GB).

The RAM performance index is 6.8 with W7-64 and 5.5 with W7-32.

Why the difference is so huge?

bcs 32bit can see 4gb and more but can max use about 3gb and with 64bit being able to see and use 4gb it should give a little better, but again it's Windows test what u wanna use it for?

All the other index are identical, from 6.5 to 6.8.
If 5.5 comes only for the 1GB missing, this index appears stupid to me...

My 16GB 2133Mhz(XMP2 enabled in BIOS) RAM scores 7.5 in WEI. Trust me, WEI is retarded.

That should prove that WEI ratings are bogus. 4GB of DDR3-1066 scores the same as 16GB of DDR3-2133? Preposterous.

This. It means nothing. If it actually meant something, I'd be jumping for joy that mine is a 7.9.

If you want to know some actual differences between the two OSes when it comes to computational power using the same hardware, try running identical benchmarks on both OSes. I'd start with SuperPi 1M. It's a quick test and will give you a solid idea of your single-core performance and allow you to compare it to other systems.

Thank you guys for your scores...
It's a proof that I don't need to buy a new PC...

16Gb of 4x4Gb at DDR3-2333 10-11-10-29 and 2133 @ 9-11-10-28 gives me 7.9 on my X79 system, but I'm sure quad-channel has something to do with it.

i think indeed those WEI scores are not as it should be after all.
RCoon gets a score of 7.5 for 2133mhz ram, while i have 7.8 for my 16gb (4x4) 1600mhz ram.
or maybe RCoon's system is not optimal with chipset drivers, dont know, my other system with DDR2 1066mhz gets a score of 7.1

Hi Guys,

I confirm that without the memory remap feature enabled, my W7-64 (therefore with only 3GB) get the same bad score 5.5...
