Side note just bought a PowerColor PCS+ AX7870 2GBD5-2DHPPV3E Radeon HD 78... to play Alpha and Beta on till the game comes out. then will get the latest card. Just been having to much troubles with my 2x 4850

From what I've read, every Hornet can be fitted to be like the Super Hornet minus the 2nd seat. I melted my F7C and went with the Ghost.

The Super hornet is lighter and also has a jump drive which you cannot put on the other hornets

You can fit jump drives on all ships.

Super Hornet = 21000kg

Hornet Ghost = 18500kg

I like the abilities the Super Hornet unlocks, having a gunner, or transporting a friend. Taking someone along to run counter-measures or to have an up close look at a battle for tactics and such.

However, the Ghost also looks awesome.

Meh. I'm more hopeful for some better "stretch" goals

I liked the enhanced salvage, space stations, hibernation mode, more ships, ship upgrades... oh well, more money is good for the development

I wonder how many games out there have even come close to this sort of expenditure per person. And you wonder where the rest of the money (for after release profit) will come from.... I mean, I think anyone who was ever interested in this type of game has heard of it now... How many of those are really waiting until full release?

I don't know, but either they have a lot of repeat spenders or new people are buying in all the time as the money just keeps pouring in every week.

I know alot of people in my Organization have money put aside for the new ship variant releases. I know the Hornet variants were highly sought after, and so are the Constellation variants. Others just want to own every ship imaginable and they buy anything new.

It's for sure repeat customers, when I joined there where only 15k slots left still have 5k left(Min. price $40), just yesterday they brought in almost $500k divide that by how much a hornet cost it only took about 4k-5k repeat customers. I would say they only have about 10-20k people that keep buying items when they come out.

If I had a crazy paying job I would definitely be buying all the ships, but I don't so I only have the minimum join in.

The problem I see wit the hornet variants is there the ships I want to earn the right to fly. I don't want to start the game already having the top and or even a near top end fighter.

If you already have a mil spec ship at the start where do you go from that? Where are the hours of looting and trading to find that 1 missing component.

Just buying one with LTI feels like a bit of a cop out to me, I know a lot of people want that ship so they have an advantage or because they think it will be unavailable in game, But that's the fun of a game like this you have to have the goals and the ability to bend the rules to get that advantage. Be that looting a ship from a naval dockyard or preying on training UEE pilots in high sec space. Been able to start with it however temping it may be is something I have to be cautions about just for myself

that's what this game is going to turn into. the players who immediately have the best stuff vs the noobs.
