I totally agree that UT3 is a hoot for sure. However I felt that UT2K4 was better. One reason was the mod "DeathBall." Wish they would have continued and made the mod for UT3!

UT2004 was good too. I have a lot of shooters, but UT3 is the one we enjoy the most. My grandkids call me Grandpa Headshot.

Stinger,the "deathball" i remember it little.You need alot of friends in that party like maybe 8+ or balance teams with bots. Basically you need a lot of players.Of cours shooters are all about the more the better. The thing with UT3 is the shooting system. In UT2004 some weapons were over powered. here in UT3 the skills matter. A good player will rule with any weapon.And i must insist on the graphics (again) even in 2014 UT2k looks good if maxed out on a big monitor resolution,em' i right?! But UT3 looks even better!

Countryside, Return To Castel is the first shooter i have ever played before owning a pc. Used to play it in those internet club -places. And when i got my first pc it was game on! WOlf:Return was the very first EVER game to have AI bots "throw the grenade back at you"....like literally! In no other game before that,the AI did this. INCREDIBLE

Came here to recommend Freelancer, but I see I'm too late. Though if you are going to play it on modern systems I recommend you install Jason's Freelancer Patch found here. It fixes a lot of issues with widescreen resolutions.

Also I want to recommend Star Trek Armada II and Star Trek Bridge Commander. Armada II is great if you love Star Trek and RTS games, like me.

Age of Empires, C&C Red Alert and Starcraft ... I invested so much time in these games when I was 11 just playing solo since I was using a dial-up connection, I would spend time amassing resources and armies then sending those armies to decimate easy/passive level AI players :roll:

Oh don't get me wrong man, UT3 is great. Just that 2K3 and 2K4 have so many other mods to them. And your right about DeathBall, it really needs a bunch of people to really make it fun. Although it is still fun with 2 or 3 people running the bots.

I just finished Half-Life 2 FakeFactory Cinematic Mod,all episodes. It was an incredible game! Thank you so much for recommending it to me!
For me it was impossible to play without the Cinematic Mod. But with it,i feel as if i am playing a 2014 game. The attention to every detail is like something i have never seen before.No mod from Skyrim or Fallout would ever give so much detail.
The game was very hard for me,there were a lot of areas where i had to use a walkthrough. I got stuck a few times. And sometimes the enemies were too hard to kill. Now that i have finished this,i will not be playing anything else. Next up is Dragon Age Inquisition........until then
