I`m having problems with SLI and LA in DX10 with the default settings only GPU1 is loaded about 99%, with Frame Render 1 the same and with Frame Render 2 both GPUs are loaded but about 50% 50% witch is like using only one GPU. Tried both DX10 and 10.1 latest WHQL drivers are installed.

I fixed it using nVidia Inspector and this guys help http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=26253449&postcount=200 in the swamps my fps jumped from about 30 to about 55.

Very good news! GSC always was pretty secretive, so I don't expect this new rendition of the company to give us any ideas what they are making until right before release.

I really wanted to get into the STALKER series, every thing about it screamed 'YOU'LL LOVE THIS!' but each release they did, always had something about it they made me lose interest a few hours in.
The most recent one had me going a while until some serious glitch that ruined my save data and that put me off.

Lost Alpha seems to have some perks but I just don't know if it really speaks to me enough, in contrast to other titles I could be trying.

That's a shame, because for me, this series is one of the best ever made!

What you need are a couple of compilation mods which vastly improved the playability and reliability of STALKER, and Call of Pripyat (1st and 3rd releases, but 2nd and 3rd in order of storyline). If I wasn't at work I could tell you in a flash which ones to get. I'll check into it this evening.

Excellent read. Kinda makes me want to try out Lost Alpha or at the very least combine a mix of mods for SoC. SoC is the only STALKER I've played and boy have I played it

In the near future I might be getting a 2560x1440 monitor. Question, does Lost Alpha support that res?

Yes all STALKERs do, but some objects like rifle scopes will be a little oval if you do not use a 4:3 5:4 resolution.

That's fine. I played SoC originally on 1920x1080, so it shouldn't be any different on 2560x1440 since both are 16:9.
