That's why I always make 2 Saves when I use console commands just to be safe.

I am using the player.forceav carryweight # command since I dislike the carry weight limit in most games.

No issues for me though, although that's the only command I choose to use, along with the 'unlock' command every once a while.

I am assuming they are referring to the commands that mess around with your levels/perks.

Imagine finding this exact same rifle except with the affix 'Shoots another bullet'.

That's right, I've got a 150 base damage sniper rifle. Add in a x5.3 Stealth multiplier and you can imagine how long those deathclaws last

I haven't seen that. I have scrapped cement blocks and collected cement bags though.


I've come across Ol' Girl a wandering Brhamin. I killed her and she has a mixture of leather gear and a few misc items. I suspect I should reload the save before that, because it may be a part of something greater.
Anyone else bump into her?

I imagine most people have 'previous version' copies setup on their drives. The default timing is every hour, so at least you won't be too far behind if you have to revert.

I use 'carousel' system.
I have about 20 saves. Everytime I save a game, I overwrite the oldest save.
That means FO4 save interface sucks so bad for that purpose, even more than Skyrim.

I first make a copy of the Fallout 4 (my games) folder.
When playing, I tend to make an odd mixture of quick save and overwriting, with the occasional new save for any significant changes in the direction of the game or actions I've taken.
After each time I stop playing, I make a copy (or overwrite the copy) of the Fallout 4 (my games) folder.

About once a week or two weeks I also back that content up on a local drive(junk/temp/misc/backup) that's in my system, which I also have cloned (the backup portion) on a NAS drive.

I was just thinking last night, I'd love to be able to cloud storage some of this stuff, and am highly considering pushing all of my back up gaming profiles/settings/configs to my Google Drive this weekend.

Fallout 4 Beta patch released

Bethesda has released the first patch for Fallout 4.

The update, which is currently available in beta form on Steam, offers a number of general memory and stability improvements, fixes several issues and crashes. There are also two new features available to try out that allow a keyboard’s number pad to be used for remapping and Remapping Activate now working on Quick Container.

The beta update is currently a work in progress, so if you’re interested in checking it out, be sure to back up your saved games just in case something happens while testing it. In order to take part in the beta, PC users will need to follow the instructions below:

1. Log into Steam

2. Right Click on Fallout 4 in your Library

3. Select Settings

4. Select Betas

5. A drop down menu will appear. Select Beta Update

6. Select OK.

7. Wait a few minutes and Fallout 4 should update.

8. When done, Fallout 4 should appear as Fallout 4 [beta] in your Library

I cannot even explain how satisfying it is to use a bolt action .50 cal rifle and just blow ghouls away one at a time as they come at me from everywhere.

The first person aiming / hit notifiers remind so much of call of duty 2 with the Kar98K. I am really enjoying this game ALOT. The customization of weapons is greatness

TAA looks really good in this game, and thanks to switching over to Nvidia cards, there's no adverse affects from using it.
I've dropped my reshade/Sweetfx now, as the clarity and softness of TAA pretty much does everything I want, without all the performance hit of hacked injection .dlls

use hats to organize people!

for example have security wear army helmets, farmers wear straw hats, traders wear top hats, etc. then when you ring the bell you will know which people are not assigned yet.
