Looking for Backup Software with Specific Features

Looking for backup software to view two folders (or drives) and update eachother with any files/folders that aren't already there. In other words if folder and/or file A isn't on drive 1, copy it from drive 2. Likewise, if folder and/or file B isn't on drive 2, copy it from drive 1.

I had software like this a long time ago and it even went as far as doing file diffs and time/date comparisons. That would be icing on the cake.

Free would be great but willing to spend a little $

Windows 7, 8 and 10, 64 bit.

I think FreeFileSync is what you're looking for. I was using it to sync the My Documents folders on my computers before I set up a domain.

rsync is an awesome command line tool for that task, from the unix world, but has been ported to windows, no GUI though

edit: nevermind, you want to sync in two directions -> unison (https://www.cis.upenn.edu/~bcpierce/unison/)

Uhhh, SyncToy. It's been supported by MS for years, and can be used on conjunction with Task Scheduler to create timed syncs.

I am totally digging FreeFileSync... it's bi-directional and does so much including binary comparisons (can tell if two files with a different date are indeed the same). It's interactive, and produces a log of results, allows versioning for overwritten files, etc. etc.

This is to sync my NAS with two separate hard drives... multiple redundant backups.
