200mm fan that came with my Phanteks Mini ITX or two Noctua NF-A14?

Hi,
i have seen a lot of people using this fans, i have never used them.

that is the fan that came with my case, is it good enough?

TBH I would keep the 200 mm fan and see how it does before deciding to replace it.

I'm sure it'll work well...all 200mm fans I've used have been airflow monsters. Some were quieter than others, but overall, everyone of them had good airflow. Plus the nice thing is if that fan fails you can then choose if you stick with 200mm or go 2X 140mm at that point. Might as well give it a go before ripping it out, Phanteks has some decent fans in my experience.

What is your goal with the intake fan on this case? Airflow? Noise? Durability? What do you consider good for your case fans? I think it depends on what you want...I can assume you want airflow for cooling, silence and lower airflow, or a happy medium...but I'd rather know what you want first.

i like the silence.... but also i want to keep a good airflow inside to keep good temps.

it's a large fan, it moves air, i doubt phanteks would be stupid

the cpu & gpu heatsinks are going to affect temps more

Odds are this 200mm fan will provide both, or enough of both to keep you content...I still stick by waiting and just using that fan in the first place.

I have 2 NFA 14 PWM fans in my case.

They are inaudible at tickover and reasonably quiet when flat out. but at medium rpm they have an annoying resonant sound.

They provide good cooling.

The resonant sound does annoy me but it isn't a massive problem as my fans only spin up more than 500 rpm when gaming or similar high usage, so I usually have headphones or speakers to cover up the noise.

i doubt you do with a bloody great thing like that at the front and all those vent holes at the back..

but it does all depend on what you are going to put inside the case..

if you do fit one at the back.. you dont need a 2000 rpm fan.. a pwm 1350 is enough.. all fans should be pwm if possible.. both from a noise and dust point of view..

all blowing more air than needed though a case does is fill it full of dust and crud quicker..

but you still need good coolers on the cpu and gpu.. excessive case cooling wont make up for poor cpu or gpu coolers..

The amount of air movement you need is proportional to the amount of heat your rig dumps inside the case.

the next question of course is how much to you intend to overclock your CPU.. at stock levels cooling is not a problem.. but to get 10% more performance will often generate twice the heat.. overclocking is fun but it does have its downsides.. he he

but i see a none K cpu so maybe you will leave it at stock..

the obsession with cooling is directly linked to overclocked parts.. one goes with the other..
