Mobile 2400+ is pretty good also, barton core.
AXP-M 2500+ is the best, Someone can overclock that to 2.8Ghz.

I just selected 3200+ in the bios, and put the cpu core at 1.7 volts and I booted into windows. The ram was overclcoked because I forgot to change it, but it seems to be fine. Now to test it. Is prime95 the only thing I need?

Prime 95 can check if your system is stable or not.
I recommend you run it if you want to keep OCing all the time

prime 95 and looping any 3dmark is the best method, i've had prime 95 run fine for hours but as soon as i try and run 3dmark it craps out so both are needed really.

Wow, running at stock voltage of 1.65 now instead of 1.7, and I havent had any errors with 3dmark03. Ive run the "torture" test in prime 95 for 1 hour and 2 minutes with 0 errors and 0 warnings. Do I need to run it longer? 3dmark03 doesnt have any errors, though I cant loop it because I dont have full version.

1 hour is enough.
Now only thing that remains is to check if your RAM goes to 2,2,2,5 or 2.5,2,2,7. U need to play with VDIMM also. Put it at 3.0 V and try 2,2,2,5. If it boots and satable then try 2.9V etc etc.

I left it running for about 3 hours with the prime95, and when I came back my comp had completely locked up not even the mouse would move. Will prime95 eventually crash a system from overloading it? No error was recorded in the log.

Also, can prime95 test for ram errors?

Prime 95 does RAM testing anytime torture test is running, but there are options - you may choose to test harder CPU (less memory used) or RAM (max mem used) or both (almost equally)
And what about that hang-up - have u increased ur northbridge voltage (Vdd) ? At least 1,8V is an absolute must for ocing on nforce chipsets
And, remeber, that Prime 95 once hangs on any system /desktop - dont talk about servers/, no matter how stable, just problem of statistic - when using non-ECC RAM an error must occur once - only question is in which term of time...... ;) but lets talk about terms of 24 hrs and more, 3 hrs is not enough - IMHO ur sys is not absolutely stable, but
dont forget that ur sys performs 100% output all the time Prime runs, normal use - even newest games will never do so

hopefully u understand my poor eng

Thanks. Your english is actually good.

Though im not overclocking the northbridge, the NF7-S v2.0 is designed to handle 400 mhz fsb.

No need to raise voltage of your NB.When u start OCing your Barton properly (i mean 220-240 fsb ;-)) then u will need to raise it. Try putting 1.7V on your CPU. Maybe you have a cpu that doesnt work 100% stable on stock voltage. YOu checked if your MBO undervolts maybe? Check it with cpu-z or similar.
