For me too, great game. Despite the C2D's (which would hopefully get better through future patches), it's still the best game ever, ultra-large world, non-linear and one-of-a-kind.

Going to have to go with Skyrim, was hoping it to be BF3, but I found the vanilla maps to be lacking, good thing the Karkand maps actually seem good. 2nd would have to be SWTOR, having a ton of fun with that as we speak.

1. Skyrim - Great game overall, the most epic single player story there is. Battle system for me feels very unnatural compared to Dark Souls though.

2. Dark Souls - I wish all games had this kind of difficulty, if Skyrim had the same combat mechanics as this game I'd be playing it non-stop, this game had far more epic boss fights compared to Skyrim (Despite Skyrim having Dragons) because of this. It is addictive to me. Needs more content/story though.

3. Battlefield 3 - While the best FPS I've experienced this year, I just wouldn't spend all day on it as there are still an infinite amount of quests to complete in Skyrim

Hmmm ... Game of the year for me has to meet some pretty stringent critera.

1) No DRM. Zero. Nada.
2) Easily accessible on-line and reasonably forgiving of a poor internet connection.
3) Mentally challenging and at the same time fun and unpredictable.
4) Allows short or long periods of involvement without penalizing you.
5) Minimal issues with save games, graphic drivers or CPU performance.

I guess once again I'm going to have to go with ... TPU forums.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Great story, best prequel game I've ever played. Oh and DirectX 11 support out of the box. No console port garbage. Had a solid DLC as well, Missing Link.

Skyrim is a blast too. For me that would be a toss-up between those two.

I just got accepted into the SW:TOR early access yesterday but my modem was having problems. Played it a little today. might add it to this list if it's any good.
