I have a 2080TI FE with potentially faulty VRAM.

Has there been any successful attempts to modify the BIOS?
I would like to create a custom BIOS, lowering the memory clock by 10%, if I do so it may just do the trick as if I boot into UEFI everything works fine.

As of right now, I can’t install the driver, thus unable to underclock via afterburner

Please advise,

0. It's still impossible to mod GTX 1000 series and more modern nVidia GPU BIOSes.
1. Even if it was I highly doubt your issue is coming from the VRAM. Most likely your GPU itself has come to an end. Take it to a specialist so they could diagnose it.

There is still no BIOS modding possible for Turing GPUs. Your best best is to find a BIOS that is compatible with your card but has lower clocks, use NVflashK to cross-flash it, and see if that works. But that has its own hazards, and honestly I'm not sure why you expect downclocking to cure a faulty card.

take it to a repairman, they'll figure out where the problem is.
