60Hz monitor settings

Hi I have just noticed my monitor is set at 60hz is that what it should be. I noticed these settings in the Catalyst control centre should I be ticking any of these boxes, when I get monitors I just plug them in and leave them.

If your monitor really does support 75 Hz at max resolution, you might try that to see if it looks better to you. I know I would. I also know that CCC can be wrong about that sometimes, and your monitor might not actually work at those settings.

Normally that will relate to a lower resolution which supports that refresh. Maybe consult the manual or monitor's website?

I believe that's normal since most monitors run @ 60Hz.
There is one simple rule about things like this:
IF IT AIN'T BROKEN DON'T TRY TO FIX IT

it's a 60hz monitor so running it above that is overclocking it.

Even if your monitor accepts a 75Hz signal, it might still physically render it at 60Hz. My old Iiyama is like that and you can see terrible judder even on the desktop with zero benefit, so I just use 60Hz with it.

Your manual should tell you what refresh rates it works with.
