It does help the person who is thinking about upgrading to 6870 from a 5850 choose if he should do it or not
does it really justify the cost? IMO it does, but not by lot... not a must thing to do at all...
but I think it does because of the resell value, the CFX scaling... basically the future and all those features might be useful, in the future! also, I find my 5850 to be too hot and noisy, at least when they were in CFX they were really noisy
and I think I convinced trt740 that I am right
I feel like doing a happy dance
yea a few more shaders would have been great... just enough to say that you beat the 5870 everywhere and the 5850 everywhere after all, the 5750 beats the 4850 everywhere and so does the 5770 vs the 4870
If this would have happened we would even be having this discussion at all.
