I've been to that site before, 99% of the time to GOOD hardware people would actually want are out of stock, and the site does look a bit iffy.. also see this google link: http://www.google.co.uk/products?q=8800GT+512MB&oe=utf-8&scoring=p most of those sites look like THE SAME website, only with slightly diff prices and a different name at the top.. hmm...

I just think the basic site design freaks some people out! I just bought my new TF7025-M2 from Dave at St-Athersystems without incident and I've spoken to two people about the 8800GT from CBC to confirm and they sound pretty legit to me. The payment was secure and encrypted as well so that put my mind at ease :) Premier one vision computers won't even let you pre-order so they're not trying to stroke us either and none of the shops have similar phone numbers. I personally think they're all just trying to keep their prices very similar as there is a BIG demand for these cards given their bang per buck nature. I'll keep the thread updated with my progress anyway.

When I rang last week I was told it could be another week 'til stock gets in but that I'd be contacted when they do arrive in; I didn't catch the guy's name but I'll try and get that info' for you UK guys when I ring tomorrow as the site shows stock could be 3 weeks away and I can't wait that long to run all my games at higher res and framerates

Hey im new and just wondered if any update reguarding this site.

Only thing that scares me is in t&c they state they can change the price to what ever they like up intill despatch and you have to pay that price.

so it could be cheapest now but the most expensive later on.

tbh i really dont trust that site, i have seen about 10 other sites with the EXACT same layout and design, the only difference being the logo in the top left, all with equally suspicious pricing. I would rather pay a bit more to get one through a website i know and trust, and i know would be helpful if i ever needed to return the card. also i bet the customer service is crap if existant!

Apparently I'm 4th in line (ordered it on the 1st of this month) and they are meant to be in this week! I'll be ringing to confirm I'm getting it at the pre-order price; what's the point in taking orders at that price if you're gonna bend people over by changing final price? It'll only drive customers away

Well..

considering this thread is now 5 weeks old, I'm glad i didn't play an order with that site

I check every couple days and instead of saying "Due in one week" it now just says "Not in stock." Actually it said "Due in one week" for about 3 weeks, lol

If I'd pre-ordered I'd be very upset right now, because it looks like they don't even know when they will be in stock. If i was any of you guys who ordered, i'd be cancelling.

Considering rhythmaster now runs an HD 3870, from what his system specs tell us, it would seem he noticed he was dead in the water, as to the actual delivery of the damned thing.
