Hey I have a prblem flashing my Radeon 9550. Every time i go to flash i get an error that says bios protect not disabled, and i have tried everything how can i disable it.

The only thing I know is that the card is from ATI, cause i got it from a friend, and on the back it says no namebrand like msi, or anything like that.

Yep...that's about it with this card! I tried every 9600 Pro BIOS I could find that was close to the Configuration of my card with the same results as you...I know because that's the exact card I'm using...This is what I did and I'm getting very good results with the overall performance of the card!
Download and install the newestest ATi Radeon Catalyst Driver v6.8_ccc for your operating system.
Then download and install the ATiTool v0.24. In settings under miscellaneous, tick the "Remove
Radeon 9000/9200/9550/9600 Clock Lock".
This removes the lock at startup so that it won't reset itself after you overclock the card...
With this card overclocked I can play games like FEAR with the settings pretty high without it looking all slow and jerky lookin...I got a good overclock from (core/mem) 250/200 to 460/240!!! :) Keep in mind that doing this also increases the heat on your GPU(Core) and RAM (Memory) so you better add another fan to blow directly on the card! Hope that helps... :rockout:
