First off, my card is the Visiontek xtasy 9600. it is (as far as i know) a completely reference 9600. stock clock is 325/200.
Hi, I'm thinking about reflashing my card's bios to a slightly edited GeCube 9600XT BIOS whose card has the same ram chips as mine. I've edited down the clocks from 500/500 to 445.5/459 for stability purposes (i could set the ram to 500 but it gets really really hot too fast). I edited it with RaBit v1.6. So, my questions are...
1) how do i flash it?
2) will it work?
3) i read somewhere about the clock-locked cards also being BIOS-locked. If so, will this affect this BIOS?
4) can i flash it without using a floppy? (i hate floppies and don't even have a floppy drive).

Hi! i can have wrong but try too use atiflash tool and make a ms-dos disk and start with that. and write atiflash -s id.num for the device and name on the file like rado89999.bin and size 128000 or 256000kb then it shold work //Fredrik i can have wrong but you can try it
