So after a good suggestion from Steevo im looking for a SATA2 card. Im not RAIDing so dont need that performance. Prefer it to be PCI-E and have at least 2 SATA ports.

What im trying to do is get my storage drives off my motherboard. They are both mechanical, 7200rpm, SATA2 and 1tb and up.

Preferably under 100 bucks but sadly i have no idea what im looking for.

    Not booting off this card.

I found this, but sadly have no idea whether it is good or not.

For what you are looking to do, pretty much any card should do really.

If you were going for RAID, I would say avoid anything PCI-E x1, since it will limit your performance, but since you aren't, I don't think that will be an issue.

I'm a fan of Highpoint cards myself, just because I've never had any major issues with them, perform well, and they are relatively inexpensive.

Something like this would probably fill your needs.

I guess since its cheap ill have to put up with it. Least the Highpoint is green and matches my vid card.
