Software A lot.
Benchmark Scores Its fast. Enough.
I have always used deionised water, a bit of car coolant for the additives and extra heat carrying ability, and some antibacterial soap for the surfactant action and antibacterial. No issues with any buildup or growth.

Currently trying it without the car coolant, and I think temps are a bit worse. So I will be pulling some out to add my coolant back in.

Filtering is pretty easy, just use any garden hose filter like this:

Connect hose; 1 end to bucket or directly to water tab, other end through pump and all your stuff and out in the sink, some pretty nasty stuff will emerge.
Most of the time its either PVC particles or indeed paint (from water with a color) sometimes some residue from production.

My tip: all new stuff: run clean water through for like 15 minutes, than reconnect the loop running water from opposite side through loop. Than do the same once more but then use hot water (max 70-80 °C), that gets rid off most stuff from the start.

oh and no i didn't flush the orange juice ... it just was at hand when i needed something to keep the filter from slipping away. lol

ps: I always use water straight from the tab..... in the end its all the same after few weeks in the loop.
