Yea, DX11 is suppose to perform a lot better too.. I'll take a constant 60+ FPS and good graphics over 30fps and awesome graphics any day, but hopefully we wont have to worry about that..

Thanks. But according to that the Frostbite engine is in fact capable of rendering DX10 or DX11 but it doesn't say that BF BC2 will support it. However I hope it does :toast:

The actual port of the Engine from DirectX 10 to DirectX 11 was done in three hours said Anderson.

They just said no hardware supports it now, so I doubt they could test it.

I would be kinda surprised if we saw DX10.1 with this. EA likes to make crappy games for the masses.

You wont ever see DX10.1 as Nvidia will pay to suppress that. But I enjoy most EA games, only ones that have dropped down hill are the NFS lineup, hopefully the new ones are good.

From what I've seen DX10 cards will work with DX11 as well, what gamer doesn't have a DX10 card by now?

They will work, they won't play it in DX11, but they will work. Otherwise would be pointless to make when 95% of people would be able to play them right away (probably more than 95%)

Frostbite, I'm pretty sure. They have a promotion at the beginning of BF BC, and it sounds like they are using the same engine, I don't think any other games run this engine, at least yet.

Ah, seen the quote figured we were still kind of on the DX11 BF BC thing. But if that was the case, it does look a bit like the Doom 3 engine, was that engine anything specially made for that game or just another Unreal engined game?

Mine at day 1.

I think the game graphically looks very good, like a game with that title deserve.

But the predator is not well represented as it should be, the mask does not seem as aggressive in the film, not even the style of movement modes of killing ecc...

In the original character the predator is the savage ruthless and aggressive.

The alien is done well.

It could be Unreal 3.0. Its going to bug me thats for sure.

Edit: Aliens: Colonial Marines is in fact the Unreal 3.0 engine. I can only assume AvP will be too.

I bet there more that do not that do have.. Because your a gamer dont mean in anyways you need DX10 or DX11. I know i don't.. Even though DX11 sounds cool and all offering possible performance boost but will that happen if NV cannot do what a ATI card can do ?..

Then there is the case if other companys will take it on all that well which is yet to be seen. Still waiting for a true decent DX10 never mind a DX11 game..

most DX10 titles dont work well with AA (unlike 10.1 games), you cant alt tab out of most DX10 games without issues... and DX10 games dont like S3 sleep mode with current ATI drivers (you get visual glitches)

Umm i had that in DX9 today in one game though. Looked like the card was overheating when it was not..

left 4 dead gets it and its DX9, company of heroes only gets it in DX10.

Point was its a current issue, and i can simply bypass it by running DX9 - and it doesnt look any worse, in most games. double the FPS, minor quality loss? sure thing.

might even be on the Unreal Engine 3.5 supposed to support DX11, 12 and Shader Model 5. Gears of War 2 I think is the only game that is using any of the 3.5 updates.

Semi Off-Topic: too bad James Cameron isn't invovled for a while he was doing his Deep Sea and IMAX projects (after Titanic) but lately hes been doing some video game projects he has a new sci-fi movie coming out called Avatar he wrote it and he also worked on the video game for it there is a interview with him on IGN from E3 2009, imdb also list he has something to do with Terminator 5.

I was getting artifacts awaking from sleep with my 4870/4850 crossfire rig. I thought it was the 4870 going bad because I never had it before. Could this driver issue have been the problem?

FYI since I removed the 4870 all my issues are now gone.

The issues i've seen, ONLY affect 3D full screen. they never affected the OS, or 2D images.
