Huh, well, I guess there is one. 4 year old game but outperforming it does nonetheless.

I'm aware the 4070 ti is better. I'm just saying its impressive a $540 6800 xt oc'd can knock on the door of the 4070 ti, not beat it. an $800 card.

Of course, but I was under impression that the 4070Ti had a large enough gap to the 6800XT that the latter could not equal the former except some very niche cases regardless of driver/optimalization.
Borderlands 3 shows that it can. It isn't exactly popular, but I wouldn't call it niche either.

Well big N is objectively a shitty company, so not doing business with them is a plus yeah.

With big A dealing in improvised explosives lately and Chipzilla officially a George Foreman grill franchise, what's gonna become of the industry?

AMD is not a morally superior company and it doesn't have superior ethics towards its customers. Treat them all as if they were corporations interested in your money and only your money.

I think we can all agree none of them are good at the end of the day, but I can say both my gtx 1070 laptop and my amd gpu's have been rock solid for me overall. I think we just have to learn to live with both being shitty at this point. Nvidia and the new power connector fires for example, they should have known full well the casual user would squeeze those wires too tight between panels, pc builders have been doing it for ages, I don't, but I am not casual.

The 12VHPWR failures weren't even on NVIDIA, they only affected NVIDIA products because they are the only ones who adopted the connector on schedule. And it's noteworthy that the RTX 3090 Ti also uses it but we didn't hear any reports of 3090 Ti's on fire, mostly because few people purchased them and those who did seemingly plugged the connectors all the way in. That one is on PCI-SIG, IMO. But otherwise, most agreeable indeed

What do you mean metaphorical sense :wtf:

Do you also pay "metaphorically" for the said dGPU?
Because, for the same money, you can buy a new generation video card with approximately the same performance but with new implemented technologies and lower consumption.
