But 90% of PC users don't overclock.... unless of course you have a perosanl contract with AMD??
I think you're being generous. I think fewer than that really overclock. Most people couldn't even tell you what a BIOS was, forget overclocking. I bet you that it's a fraction of a fraction.
With the advent of automated software overclocking like the OC genie's of this world, i asked them all last week and from the 337 million replies I got I concluded it was actually 9.7% so you are right
i think it will equal to core i7 2600k in performance
You can haz 3 wish! 1 is for a 10% OC!
You misunderstood my comment. I said that no special cooling is required for operation at the 5.0 GHz. frequency. A std. tower cooler isn't considered "special" cooling by most people who would buy a special 5.0 GHz. (expensive), CPU. "Special" in my comment meant water cooling or phase change.
You keep saying "a standard AMD heatsink"... A standard AMD heatsink is whatever AMD decides to ship with a particular processor. They vary in size and thermal capacity. If AMD decides to package a CLC as they did with the FX-8150 then that would be the "standard AMD cooler" for the FX-9590 CPU. If they decided to package a tower cooler with the FX-9590 CPU then that would be the "standard AMD cooler". The standard coolers tend to change with each processor model and generation.
Y u spoil my fun? You tit!
For you we will call this FX series as 'Boob' edition
Oh wait did we not have this same Boob edition topic long time ago?
I was actually searching for some OC FX gaming benchmarks and ran into this chart from bit-tech:
The lack of fundemental Physics understanding is, again, staggering. This comes up all too often
Energy in = Energy out unless you have found a way to get around thermodynamics
So? It is 1 Benchie, means nothing
More like 99% don't overclock.
It was known that AMD chip is not good on this particular game.
reply to previous post:
I have over 400 real life friends in my facebook account, everybody with computer but nobody know what is "overclock cpu". I guess that 99% of computer user in the world NEVER O'clock.
Been there done that http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/amd_fx_8350_8320_6300_processor_4300_performance_review,1.html
Check out benchmarks of Crysis 3? that's whack!
I think that 1% has grown a little though, with the advent of software based auto overclocking like OC Genie and Easytune some just click the button and get a mild overclock.
