Desktop variants of AMD "Richland" APUs in the socket FM2 package, will arrive this June. Three of the first models to be released to the market, the A10-6800K, the A10-6700, and the A4-4400, could already be in stock with certain retailers, and were pictured. The A10-6800K (AD680KWOA44HL) features four x86-64 cores based on the "Piledriver" micro-architecture, 4.10 GHz core clock speed, 4.40 GHz maximum Turbo Core frequency, and Radeon HD 8670D graphics, clocked at 844 MHz. It features an unlocked base-clock multiplier.

The A10-6700 (AD6700OKA44HL) features the same graphics core as the A10-6800K, but features 3.70 GHz CPU clock speed, 4.30 GHz maximum Turbo Core frequency, and an upwards locked base-clock multiplier. The A4-4400 (AD4400OKA23HL), on the other hand, is an entry-level dual-core chip with 3.70 GHz core, 3.90 GHz Turbo Core, and Radeon HD 8370D graphics.

It'll be interesting to see some gaming benchmarks to see where these stand.

As would I. Especially if I can make an insanely quiet little HTPC for some casual gaming.

These finally seem to get closer to the high clock speeds they were supposed to run from the beginning. Quite awesome to see a chip running that much over 4GHz factory clocked.

I wonder if the 6800K will crossfire with a better card instead of the 6670 maybe that is why the 7730 might be released

Good to know there is not long to wait.

I am currently posting this using an A4 5300 as my main computer and HTPC have failed me so i got this to replace my HTPC, although after getting to use this and game on it (source engine games so nothing demanding) i want an A10 5700 for general usage but Richland slightly complicated things.

If the A10-6700 has a 65w TDP then it may be a better choice. i look forward to more information.

that is what I was thinking as soon as the 7830 news came out. could be a powerful combo for mini itx if they sell it in low profile

    Look here then:

    http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2309611

A10-6700 (yes, it's 65W TDP model, like it's predecessor) is anywhere from 15% to 30% faster in GPU synthetics than A10-5800K... so probably even more so than A10-5700.

Just hope it can pair up with newer radeons rather than the 6670 series.

The current gen FM2 APUs pair with the current 7 series graphics card... These will do the same in regards to the upcoming 8 series.

For real Richland performance video check this out!!
    Lots of other videos too.
I think the guy is working flat out.
Crossfire videos have started appearing too.

    I asked him about crossfiring,
He has tried a few cards, nothing will work above 6670

Using the same smiley here as on every single video gives you away as the video poster. :)
