I noticed in my Hardware Monitor in the bios, it lists how much power (in amperes) is going through the core (CPU). But I can't seem to get this to display in windows. Is it even possible? I would prefer to do it with speedfan as I already have that going all the time.

Looking at the manual, the motherboard should only monitor voltage. I tell you, that intrigued me, because it would be a really nice feature, but it's very rare to find a motherboard that monitors the electric current.
Not saying you are lying, but if it shows up in your BIOS, which the manual already tells me it doesn't, it should show in any hardware diagnostics software that has access to those parameters in the BIOS. Try HWmonitor.

Wow, that is so cool! And I can't believe I've been mislead by outdated product manuals again. :( Sorry about that. My manual doesn't show most of the stuff in the latest BIOS update as well. :ohwell:
But what you are showing now goes beyond me. The electric current reading has to be supported by the software, otherwise it won't show up. I guess you will have to hunt-down a software that can read those parameters. As for the VIN voltages, I don't know. It doesn't show up in the BIOS and the values don't ring a bell to any component I know. I also haven't had a motherboard that monitored a voltage labeled as "VIN", that I can recall.

what they do is put a very low ohm resistor before the cpu power vrm (atx12v) and measure the voltage drop across it. simple ohm's law

any software needs a custom profile for each motherboard's monitoring configuration. as you can imagine that there are several thousand motherboards out there it's a lot of work for developers

also, i would like to know what the vin 2, vin3, and vin6 voltages are

id say missread values myself as the Vin's of a mobo come from the PSU and none of them would be right coming from a PSU all way too low.

and my ABIT x38quadgt show total CPU current being used(might show dual values for dual core never tried one in it) but only one figure for all four cores:D pressently at 60A 90%load as im folding 24/7(sept gamein time obv), i doubt the soft would be compatible,

however HARDWAREINFO32 and 64 also do show this info for me in their sensor lists correctly;), might be worth a go, good soft anyway as it gives hd smart info through raid arrays and some other things not many do.

thanks guys! I thought the ampere meter was pretty cool myself as well
