i picked up a Asus EAH5770 CuCore 1GB at my local hardware pusher, but i can't get it to run 1GHZ on the core even at 1.350v but it do 999mhz on the core at 1.274v

and if i try push it to 1GHZ on the core even at 1.350v i get this :wtf:

so now comes my question is it the card that doesn't get the volt it needs to run 1GHZ or does it need a better cooler? it's around 70~72°C under load.

If you're increasing the voltage that much but theres no change - I think you've hit the limit of what the GPU can do. maybe getting a decent 3rd party cooler might help but i dont think the price is worth it as you probably wont gain anymore then maybe 5 or 10mhz if your really lucky. looking at a review in hardwarecanucks - & they scored 1013/1410 on 1.262v - the review is dated 2009 though but Id say you probably did pretty well & it just sucks that your card cant do 1ghz (luck of the draw)

    999 is still good.

Sorry for the hijack, though how do you enable the voltage control in the config?

I have to agree with Freedom, on hitting the wall. Also, I doubt the 1Mhz increase to 1.0ghz will really benefit you in anyways.

Sux man, I just hit 1001mhz on the core with 1.275 volts and 1300 on my mem, ran 3dmark2001 without a hitch, max temp was 77c on 65% fan speed, may shoot for higher :D which drivers are you using?
