Benchmark Scores wanting to acheive higher then 3.0 Ghz need some advice cause MOBO wont allow higher CPU voltage the
I know that the Asus Motherboard i have (M2N SLI) (NOT M2N SLI DELUXE) will not allow me to adjust my CPU voltage over 1.325, and i cannot excede my current CPU(AMD Athlon X2 5000 BE) speed of 3.0 GHZ. I know this CPU is capable of higher output and i was wondering if anyone has the same setup that can get their CPU higher and usable under gaming stress. I have tried alot of messing with my BIOS but to no success i still cant seem to run it any higher then 3.0 GHZ without crashing at boot, or crashing once i start. I have tried my hardest, if anyone has this same setup, and are running at 3.2ghz, or even 3.1 your feedback would be much appreciated. Also i know i could just get a new MOBO ...but seeing as how i just got this one not knowing that the CPU couldnt be set over 1.325v i would really like another allternative
Thank you,
Adam

I don't think you can get any higher without more voltage.
I'm at 3.210 with 1.536v on a MSI K9A2 Platinum

It depends on the chip itself too. I'm getting 3.2Ghz @ 1.4v out of my 5000+BE. Thats on a MSI K9A2CF non platinum. I haven't tried to push it any further yet.

I know this.... the chip would get 3.2ghz its not the chip i have a problem with as much as it is the Motherboards BIOS wont allow any higher settings then 1.325v... which makes it hard to overclock any higher without the PC shutting down when it boots, or when i get into a game, or start actually gaming

You can try ai booster. I dont know if your board is supported but you can give it a shot. Maybe even amd overdrive. I had the same issue with a m2n mx-se plus where I was very limited in how far I could overclock in my bios.
